Footage: Man robs bank with toy gun in China
A bank robber was apprehended five minutes after he attempted to rob a bank with a toy gun in central China's Hubei Province on Sunday. Video footage from the bank's surveillance system shows the man entering the bank, walking up to the counter and pulling out a gun to threaten a bank clerk and a customer. The incident lasted just two minutes because as soon as the alarm went off the robber ran away. He was caught just some 500 meters away from the bank by local police officers, who discovered the gun was just a toy. China has some of the strictest gun laws in the world which generally prohibit any private possession of firearms with only a few extremely limited exceptions.
